In late 2019 and early 2020, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team interviewed a range of internal and external stakeholders and surveyed all Witteveen+Bos employees worldwide. This included asking questions such as ‘What societal challenges are important for Witteveen+Bos?’, ‘How would you assess the current contribution of Witteveen+Bos?’ and ‘Where should Witteveen+Bos direct more attention?’.
Sustainable infrastructure, climate change, preservation of biodiversity and social inclusivity are areas where Witteveen+Bos can make a bigger difference. In 2021 we will be developing a strategy for achieving this. We will also use the results of the materiality analysis to recalibrate our corporate objectives.
In order to make our contribution to projects measurable and be better able to manage this, in 2020 we developed an SDG Impact Tool for ODA countries and a Societal Value Tool for non-ODA countries.
