Maritime infrastructure is indispensable for global trade and increasingly important to allow for the reduction of carbon emissions per tonne-kilometre. Witteveen+Bos contributes to this by providing advice and designs in the fields of greenfield and brownfield port development, including the design of dredging operations and land reclamation, terminals, waterways and the design of port structures. These may involve seaports and inland ports and terminals (including ‘dry ports’) as well as recreational ports and marinas.

Our services range from preparing (feasibility) studies, master plans, designs, tender documents and construction cost estimates to building management and works supervision of construction works. Our expertise and knowledge networks are of international level. We actively contribute to the development of international design guidelines, we lecture at the Dutch university the TU Delft and we are active on the boards of PIANC and CEDA.
