How we work
At Witteveen+Bos, we work across the globe on tackling the challenges of today by devising the solutions of tomorrow. The way we perform this work is what makes us who we are. In the advice, services and solutions we provide in the fields of water, infrastructure, the environment and construction, we offer solutions that are best suited to each specific need.
Corporate objectives
Four corporate objectives guide our daily operations:
Value for Society and Contributing to the SDGs
Through our projects and advice, we want to contribute in a meaningful way to ensuring the future-proof development of society across the globe. We are inspired by the SDGs, which is why we created seven sustainable design principles (SDPs) and a climate policy.
Adaptive Group of Expert and Engaged Employees
We want to be a platform that allows people to fulfil their ambitions and develop their talents. We strive to be a good employer by ensuring maximum diversity and talent development at our company. In our continuous pursuit of excellence, we aim to possess high-quality knowledge and consistently innovate. We collaborate with expert partners in a culture of entrepreneurship and trust. We offer our colleagues an environment in which creativity and innovation are stimulated, and we believe it is important that everyone can do what they are good at and what makes them happy.
Sustainable Business Operations
First and foremost, sustainable business operations provide a licence to operate, while also being efficient and effective. They also enable us to contribute to reducing carbon emissions and to producing and consuming responsibly. We have set ourselves the target of making our internal business operations climate-neutral by 2030, and we are proud of the fact that, since 2012, we have held a CO2-Aware certificate at the highest level (level 5) on the CO2 Performance Ladder.

Economic Value
Through our projects, we generate economic value for society. At the same time, healthy financial results for our company are necessary to ensure sufficient room for innovation and new developments, and to be able to invest in our people. Stable results are also important for the health of our unique participation system.
