‘How wonderful that as an in-house lawyer at Witteveen+Bos, I am contributing to society!’
I took the step to engineering from banking. Witteveen+Bos’ positive contribution to society was one of the reasons for the switch. How wonderful that as an in-house lawyer, I am part of such an organisation and can make a contribution!
In September 2023, I made a smooth start at the Legal and Quality Department. I received a warm welcome in the department and was allowed to ask everyone questions, and I grew into the issues by reading along with highly experienced colleagues. Meanwhile, I help colleagues from different parts of the company with very different legal issues, for example in the field of procurement law and contract law. I also work on privacy and compliance issues to ensure that we handle personal data carefully and monitor personal as well as business integrity.
What is attractive about Witteveen+Bos is the trust and space I am given to take up tasks and issues myself. I am proud to have been able to find my own way in this. In the short term, I want to delve further into privacy and construction law.
Thanks to my immediate colleagues, I gain experience in areas of law in which I had less or no experience. In the future, I would like to delve even deeper into the services Witteveen+Bos provides. After all, more knowledge about our business means that I can advise colleagues even better on legal issues surrounding projects. This will allow me, as a lawyer, to make an even more emphatic contribution to the impact on society Witteveen+Bos has.
