The story of Mélanie Geerts

'From the moment I walked in as an intern, I felt at home at Witteveen+Bos.'

Mélanie Geerts, the brand new addition to the ecology experts, entered the company as a thesis student. 'During my master's thesis in the Coasts, Rivers and Cities business unit, I had the opportunity to turn my theoretical knowledge into practical experience. Within a year, I made the leap from intern to a permanent team member, and I can say: I'm very excited!'

'The unique collegiality and diversity of people and backgrounds that enrich my work is fantastic. Every day starts with a cup of coffee and a pleasant chat with colleagues, followed by inspiring projects and communal lunches. The open structure and opportunities for advancement make it extra attractive.'

'During my internship, I worked on ecohydrological studies and projects in and around Antwerp. I always felt welcome and supported. It is a modern and sustainable company committed to climate-resilient nature, something that really appealed to me and was also the deciding factor in my decision to come work here officially.'
