The story of Julian Albers

‘I was looking for a place where I would experience diversity and complexity in my work. And I managed to do just that!’

With six months of work experience under my belt, I got the chance to join an organisation that for me, met many needs: great, international, with impact on the world and good at what they do. The fact that our head office is located in Deventer, the most beautiful city in the world in my opinion, makes it even more fun. I have now been an HR adviser at Witteveen+Bos for over a year.

I was looking for a job that could challenge me in the field of HR. A place where I would experience diversity and complexity in my work. And I managed to do just that! My job involves labour market communication, personal development, absenteeism, labour law, assessment and performance, employment conditions and everything to do with being a good employer. I learn every day and I feel that I have the space to develop into the HR professional I aim to be. Meanwhile, I got so much more than I was initially looking for. I am enjoying the autonomy, the challenge, but above all, I find pleasure in the work. For me, the latter really is an important driver, and my great colleagues play a major role in this. So I can honestly say that I am at home at Witteveen+Bos and that feels great!
