The story of Jesper Pots

'I can recommend working at Witteveen+Bos to everyone. Together with many enthusiastic colleagues, you get to work on socially important issues.'

How can we make sustainability and circularity part of infra projects? This is one of the main challenges for me as a consultant on contract forms and procurement. In my daily work, I translate the client's ambitions into a tendering strategy and a realization contract. To then put these out to tender and supervise execution. This makes every day different.

I get a lot of energy from advising on the circular procurement of projects. Clients like it when together we identify opportunities for sustainability. From my experience I can assess whether within a specific project there are opportunities to contribute to energy transition, water quality issues or the promotion of biodiversity.

In the past four years I have been able to contribute to many noteworthy projects, such as the renovation of the Eerste Heinenoordtunnel, the renovation of Krammersluizen locks, Zuidasdok Tunnel, Multi-Year Program for Noise Abatement and various projects and studies in which circular procurement and awarding contracts on the basis of MKI were central.

I can recommend working at Witteveen+Bos to everyone. You end up in a company that offers you every opportunity to develop yourself. Where you can also work on socially important issues in your field. And all this together with many enthusiastic colleagues.
