The story of Berend Meijer

'Working on complex puzzles of large projects is what makes my job so challenging!'

As a structural engineer, I work on large projects, each of which requires a unique approach. My work requires a lot of collaboration between different disciplines, which makes it very diverse. There is also a lot of room for digitization of design steps to investigate variants or to create an optimal design. As a starter at Witteveen+Bos you get the opportunity and freedom to map out your own path!

In addition to the project work at Witteveen+Bos, there are many opportunities to be active within the company. For example, together with a colleague I organize a bike ride in which a large group of sporty Witteveen+Bos employees participate to draw attention to the climate, I teach colleagues about programming and I attend events where we can inspire students and share our experiences at Witteveen+Bos. For example, I will soon be on the field hockey field with seven colleagues to meet up with budding engineers!
