The story of Anne Kosters
'When other people are happy and can do their work well, that makes me happy.'
Entering a large organization of 1.500 employees and yet receiving a very warm welcome. This was a very pleasant start to my career as Facility Services Coordinator at Witteveen+Bos two years ago. I still experience this familiar feeling, which ensures that the lines of communication are short. Also because I visit our various offices, spar with colleagues and thus fulfill the role of connector between manager and group. I regularly 'check in' with colleagues and the best thing about this is that I can stimulate and challenge colleagues to think about the efficiency of existing processes, for example. I am proud of the good teamwork with my colleagues!
I also get to take on cool projects; for example, I played a part in the implementation of our facilities system and I am now helping to think about Witteveen+Bos' CO2-neutral operations. Here I focus mainly on making my group's services more sustainable, such as catering and cleaning. Together with them I make agreements about our renewed approach and we implement the new policy step by step. It gives me a satisfied feeling that my ideas are heard and can be taken up together with the team.
It gives me energy when I notice the positive effect of the things I do. If other people are happy and can do their work well, that makes me happy. I am very satisfied with my role as Facilities Services Coordinator and I hope to continue to develop in this role in the coming years.
