Capping and gas venting landfill Lorong Halus

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) plans to expand the TPE/KPE intersection on top of a former waste landfill at Lorong Halus. In order to construct on top of the landfill, it is important to have a good understanding of the characteristic of the landfill. The landfill is known to emit gas and produce leachate. In order to manage the gas produced in the landfill and the leachate amount, Witteveen+Bos designed a land capping and gas venting system to be applied by the contractor for this project.
