Our Dubai branch, Witteveen+Bos EMEA DMCC, opened in 2014 to serve markets in the Middle East and Central Asia, where we have been active for over 25 years.
The region is facing major challenges in dealing with water shortages, environmental pollution and rapid urbanisation, as well as in securing energy supplies and providing an adequate transport infrastructure.
Our Dubai office therefore has a triple focus:
- Water, Sustainability and Energy saving
- Port, Marine and Coastal engineering
- Digitalisation of the construction industry
Many challenging projects have been carried out from the Dubai office over the past years, such as the implementation of biogas utilisation in a Waste Water Treatment Plant in Ajman (UAE), a study on the improvement of mooring conditions in the port of Fujairah (UAE), project development assistance with inland container terminals in Iraq and Rwanda, the renovation of a breakwater in the Port of Sohar (Oman) and a Feasibility Study on strategic pipeline projects in Oman.
Recently, the office also introduced 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) in the UAE through pilot projects with local contractors.
