ISO 9001 is the world's best known and most widely used certification scheme when it comes to quality management systems. An important goal of ISO 9001 is to increase customer satisfaction.
ISO 14001 is the best known and most widely used certification scheme for environmental management systems worldwide. An important goal of ISO 14001 is to keep the environmental impact as small as possible. Witteveen+Bos is certified for the CO2 -bewust certificat, an equivalence to ISO 14001. This is because CO2 is by far the most material environmental impact within Witteveen+Bos.
ISO 17025 provides general requirements for the competence of, test laboratories. Witteveen+Bos can perform various environmental measurements in the field of odour, emissions and noise under RvA accreditation. The CO2-Performanceladder is a Dutch scheme with the aim of reducing the emission of greenhouse gases. The scheme is in line with the principles of both the GHG Protocol and ISO 50001.
The United Nations Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for companies that are committed to aligning their activities and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. Witteveen+Bos endorses these principles and publishes an annual report on them. Specific information about Witteveen+Bos is available in English on the UN Global Compact website.
Sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship means accountability. Witteveen+Bos follows the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in order to be able to report on corporate social responsibility as transparently as possible. The GRI-guidelines for sustainability reports were drawn up by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) with the aim of making sustainability reporting for all organisations as routine and comparable as financial reporting. Using the GRI-guidelines, we not only show what we have achieved, but also how we have done it. The GRI-index gives an overview of the GRI-indicators we have chosen.
The Safety Ladder is a Dutch scheme with the aim of increasing safety awareness. Information about our certification is included in the public register.
VCA is the most widely used scheme in the Netherlands in the field of safety, health and environment. Information about our certification is available on the VCA website.
The BRL SIKB 6000 is a Dutch scheme that has been developed for environmental guidance of (water) soil remediation, interventions in the waterbed and aftercare. In the Netherlands, polluted soil is regarded as waste. For the collection, transport, trading or mediation of/in waste materials, an entry on the VIHB list is mandatory with the NIWO foundation. Information about our registration can be found on the NIWO website.
