Capping and gas venting landfill Lorong Halus

To assist the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in its plans to expand the TPE/KPE intersection on top of a former sanitary landfill in Lorong Halus, Witteveen+Bos designed a system for capping the landfill and venting the gases contained in it. The design – to be applied by the project’s contractor – required a good understanding of the characteristics of the site, which was known to emit gases and produce leachate.
