Witteveen+Bos acquires GriDD

Consultancy and engineering firm Witteveen+Bos has acquired GriDD Customer Experience B.V. The move is in line with our vision on making optimal use of digitalisation in our efforts towards a healthy and climate-adaptive living environment. ‘Digitalisation is radically changing our society and offers many opportunities for achieving sustainability targets. The knowledge and skills of GriDD’s experts allow us to take a significant next step in this area,’ explains Eveline Buter, director at Witteveen+Bos.

GriDD and Witteveen+Bos have been working together successfully for some time now. Together they developed the online participation platform YourView and the related app. The acquisition is therefore a logical next step, enabling both parties to further benefit from the existing synergy. GriDD’s Mark Geljon is already noticing the added value: ‘Because we operate in the same markets, an even better understanding of the needs and ambitions of our existing clients is possible. We’re increasingly getting a better understanding of the transitions that are now in full swing. This leads almost automatically to better client-focused solutions.’

More impact for a better living environment

The acquisition enriches Witteveen+Bos’s expertise by adding GriDD’s methodologies, knowledge and experience with (digital) transformations in industry, education and government, including client journeys and opportunities for digital solutions.

‘Witteveen+Bos wants to make a positive contribution to major social challenges – from the energy transition to circular economies and from large-scale infrastructure replacement to flooding, climate change adaptation and healthy cities,’ says Eveline Buter. ‘The benefit for existing and new clients is that, making use of the latest design possibilities and new digital products and services, we can now help them even better with the challenges they face.’
