WBSEA signs contract for a port development in Vietnam

On January 15 2019 Witteveen+Bos South-East Asia (WBSEA) signed a contract for the development of My Thuy Deep Sea Port in Quang Tri province, Vietnam. The project comprises a feasibility study and a basic design for a port that will accommodate general cargo and container vessels with a capacity of 100,00 DWT.

The client is My Thuy International Port JVC, a joint venture of a Vietnamese and a Korean company, in which the latter one is the leading party. WBSEA will carry out the project together with a local partner. WBSEA’s obligation is to review the work to ensure that the port will be developed according to international standards. The project will be a joint effort of the Witteveen+Bos offices in Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and The Netherlands. The project has to be completed by the end of May 2019.
