Team RailXpert welcomes Witteveen+Bos as fifth partner
Together with walking and cycling mobility by rail is the most sustainable form of transport. Team RailXpert enthusiastically contributes to this transition. The partnership between APcon, Dutch Rail Control, Logitech Advisors & Engineers and Nexus Rail is now expanded by the joining of Witteveen+Bos and has all the knowledge needed for complex integral railway projects.
Rail transport and travel are increasingly being utilized. Requirements and ambitions to reduce emissions make railways extra appealing. This increases the importance of maintenance, expansion and innovation of the rail network. Complex challenges in which Team RailXpert is an important link with a wide range of services.
The companies collaborating within Team RailXpert feature all ProRail approvals: APcon as an expert in rail-bearing and non-rail-bearing civil engineering structures, Dutch Rail Control with a specialisation in traction and energy supply, Logitech Advisors & Engineers in the field of track and rail construction and Nexus Rail in the field of train safety.
As the fifth party, Witteveen+Bos joins Team RailXpert as an associate partner. Besides additional technical know-how, the consultancy and engineering firm also adds knowledge of (pre)explorations, (variant) studies, environmental impact assessments, procedures, sustainability and cost-benefit analyses.

Ongoing projects
In its new configuration with five partners, Team RailXpert is now working on several projects. ProRail recently awarded Team RailXpert the contract to explore the optimal connection of the new Groningen Suikerzijde railway station to the Leeuwarden-Groningen connection.
We are also working on a study to relocate Hilversum Sportpark station, putting the station including subway in the middle of the Arenapark area development. Team RailXpert has also been commissioned by ProRail to analyse the existing situation and risks for the lighting at the Maasvlakte, Pernis, Botlek, Europoort and Waalhaven Zuid railway yards as a preliminary to a new design.
