Framework agreement with Municipality of Eindhoven
sustainable growth for a liveable city

Witteveen+Bos, together with Antea and Tauw, signed a framework agreement on 21 October 2024 with the Municipality of Eindhoven. The engineering firms will be involved in lot 1 (‘Multidisciplinary’), which concerns complex integrated projects such as HOV4.
The framework agreement is an important step in the Municipality’s collaboration with engineering firms to realise Eindhoven’s ambitious development goals.
Liveable and appealing
The city of Eindhoven is at the heart of the Brainport region, one of the most innovative and fastest-growing regions in the Netherlands. Over the next 15 years, Brainport is expected to grow by 70,000 inhabitants.
This growth will place high demands on the city’s infrastructure and living environment. To ensure the city not only grows but also remains liveable and appealing to its residents, organising facilities for living, working and mobility must be done in a smart and sustainable way.
HOV4
Between 2024 and 2030, Witteveen+Bos will exploit its knowledge and expertise on sustainable mobility, multipurpose space utilisation, and soil and water management on the HOV4 project.
A textbook example of sustainable mobility, HOV4 concerns the region’s fourth high-quality public transport (HOV) connection. It will link Eindhoven’s central station with a business park in Veldhoven where organisations including ASML and the Máxima MC medical centre are located. Witteveen+Bos is conducting an exploratory study for determining routes and expected passenger volume.
