DG2025 model agreement for construction teams now available
In May 2025, the new DG2025 model agreement for construction teams was launched. This model – the successor to DG2020 – provides a balanced set of agreements for parties collaborating in construction teams.
This model’s launch marks the latest step towards an improved construction industry with greater equality and more effective collaboration. The model is based partly on contemporary practical experiences and wishes from within the industry.
New elements
The document contains important changes, including clear legal frameworks, compact texts, and better alignment with common concepts. The authors have also added phasing to improve construction team collaboration, and more attention is paid to prices and understanding price formation.
A collaboration plan has also been introduced, collaboration obligations have been broadened, and the concept of objective-based budgeting (‘taakstellend budget’) has been more clearly explained. The contract preparation process has also been simplified and an explanation added.
‘The phasing and focus on price formation, in particular, have a positive effect on project control and pricing,’ explains W+B’s Jaap de Koning, one of the model’s authors.
Versatile
Like its predecessor, the new model can be used for a wide range of construction projects of varying types, from small-scale to complex. Available free of charge, the model is a valuable tool for clients and contractors looking to establish transparent, flexible and professional collaborations.
