On Thursday 11 June, we are hosting the Concrete Change symposium together with construction and infrastructure supply chain partners including Rijkswaterstaat, Dura Vermeer, Renewi and ABT. The symposium focuses on the role of engineering firms in the transition to sustainable concrete. Do you want to know how you can realise infrastructure – from design to construction – with a lower environmental impact? And are you curious about opportunities to reuse concrete and apply alternative materials and raw materials? Then you do not want to miss this symposium!

Inspiring speakers

During the symposium, inspiring speakers including Betonakkoord’s Jacqueline Cramer and Lucas Simons, author of the book Changing the Game, will show you what a future without traditional concrete looks like.

Transitioning to sustainable concrete is a task for the entire supply chain – responsibility does not lie with only one or two parties (such as client and contractor) and all chain partners can make a valuable contribution.

Key link in transition

Design engineers couple knowledge of design processes, regulations, materials, structural safety, and feasibility with an integrated approach. As a result, engineering firms are an important link in the life cycle of concrete structures and the transition supply chain.

Register to attend

Anyone wanting to contribute to the modern role of the design engineer is welcome to join us on Thursday 11 June at Museum Cobra in Amstelveen to exchange thoughts on achieving concrete change in the concrete transition. The symposium starts at 12:30 and will conclude with a networking event at 16:30. Participation is free and you can register to attend here.
