Wat ga je doen?
You will collaborate across disciplines, gaining exposure to a broad range of expertise while contributing to complex multidisciplinary projects. As a Junior Architect, you will support architectural design, masterplanning and landscape-led development across different project stages. You will also support the project management team with design coordination, documentation, tracking tasks and deliverables, and preparation for project meetings and reviews. The role fits someone who communicates proactively, works comfortably across disciplines and is eager to contribute to creating nature-inclusive, climate-resilient environments where architecture, landscape and engineering are developed as one integrated system.
- provide design input for landscape, masterplanning and nature-positive projects, from concept through design development
- preparation of drawings, 3D/BIM models, diagrams, presentations and technical documentation
- coordination of design inputs across landscape, urban planning, engineering, ecology and sustainability disciplines
- project management support through deliverable tracking, meeting preparation, documentation and design review coordination
- work in accordance with external and internal quality standards

Mandatory:
-
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following disciplines architecture; urban design, urban planning, landscape architecture or civil engineering

- 0-5 years working experience in a similar working environment

- experience with relevant softwares (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, BIM, CAD, modelling tools)

- ability to work independently in a small local team

- understanding of sustainable and climate-resilient urban development, including nature-based solutions and the integration of built and natural systems

- strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across teams and disciplines internationally

- residing in Dubai or the Middle East region and willingness to travel occasionally in the region and internationally

- proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage

Optional:

- holding a design certificate

- having a professional network in the UAE or broader region

- experience with spatial, environmental or climate-resilience analysis, such as GIS, climate-risk assessment or nature-based design approaches

As a Junior Architect you will work within a multidisciplinary team at our front office in Dubai, where we collaborate with government entities, real estate developers, businesses and international design and advisory partners across the Middle East and beyond. Our team’s ambition is to help shape places and infrastructure that respond to today’s urban challenges while building more resilient, liveable and nature-positive environments for the future. Current assignments range from mangrove restoration and coastal development studies to traffic impact assessment and mobility studies, housing and mixed-use masterplanning, and nature enhancing urban development. We also contribute to international assignments in Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Singapore and the Netherlands, bringing together regional knowledge with specialist expertise from across Witteveen+Bos.
