Your job

As part of our team of the front office Panama you are the linking pin between the main office in the Netherlands and the Latin American market. Your skills in project management, and technical expertise in the field of the delta technology and water technology, will be key assets to continue expanding our consulting and engineering services in the region. You will liaise with colleagues from our worldwide offices, produce competitive proposals and work on projects. Witteveen+Bos has a front office in Panama City, that fulfills a regional function for Latin America and the Caribbean. In this region, Witteveen+Bos focuses on ports, delta technology, water technology and sanitation, and resilient cities. We are part of the Dutch engineering consultancy firm Witteveen+Bos (see witteveenbos.com) which has sustainability and innovation at its heart. The company has a network of 23 offices in 9 countries and more than 1,500 engineers and consultants.

What we ask

• a completed MSc or BSc degree in delta technology (civil engineering, geological/geotechnical engineering, hydraulic engineering, coastal engineering and/or water management) or water technology (drinking water, waste water and/or industrial water). Knowledge of environmental engineering is considered a plus;
• professional engineer registration in Panama;
• Panamanian citizenship;
• a minimum of 6 years of civil engineering and project management working experience;
• preferable with experience working on projects with International Financial Institutions and private clients;
• confident and proactive, with the ability to work either independently or as part of team;
• full proficiency in English and Spanish. Portuguese as an additional language is considered a plus;
• preferable with experience with business development and client relations;
• excellent writing, analyzing and presentation skills;
• a cooperative and flexible working attitude.
