Squares, quays, bridges, roads and parks shape the living environment which everyone uses daily. At Witteveen+Bos, we are passionate about the civil-engineering design and maintenance of these civil works in the built environment. Making the public space of our cities healthier and more beautiful, with space for greenery, playing, walking and cycling. That is our ambition.
We draw up a checklist, research, design and prepare projects aimed at public space renewal and management. Witteveen+Bos works on the layouts of streets, squares, bicycle infrastructure and parks for government, developers and construction companies.
We provide civil-engineering design and drawing work, and furnish contract advice for both traditional and innovative contract forms. We also provide management and supervision during the construction phase. Our engagement and stakeholder managers harmonise and coordinate with stakeholders prior to and during the construction phase of building projects. In short: we think and act.
In the field of public space, Witteveen+Bos specialises in restoring old quay walls in historic city centres, designing environmental streets and waste disposal stations, and renewing and relocating cables, pipes and sewage systems.
