Dredging design Port of Ventspils

At the end of 2015 Witteveen+Bos Latvia teamed up with contractor Jan De Nul for a bid in the design & build tender for the dredging of the access canal and turning basin in the Free Port of Ventspils.

Dredging was required because a new quay wall was built, designed for a water depth of 15 metres, but the access canal and turning basin were not as deep.

Witteveen+Bos Latvia prepared a design for all related dredging works and obtained relevant approvals and permits to enable commencement of the work.
