Saleh Mohammadi promoted to lecturer in Renewable Energy Carriers
Today, our colleague Saleh Mohammadi was recently inaugurated as lecturer at the Centre of Expertise MNEXT (part of Avans University of Applied Sciences).
‘It is an honour to take this next step in my career. I look forward to sharing my vision of a sustainable energy future,’ said the newly appointed professor of Renewable Energy Carriers. Saleh will combine his position as professor with his role as Senior Energy Consultant at Witteveen+Bos.
In his lecture entitled ‘Charting a low carbon future energy system: the rationale for hydrogen and emerging energy carriers’, Saleh Mohammadi shares his vision on accelerating the energy transition.

Some highlights:
- Hydrogen and other emerging energy carriers are crucial for minimising CO₂ emissions.
- A system approach is another essential component: technology cannot be viewed in isolation from human behaviour, policy and infrastructure.
- Only by tackling these aspects together can we make real progress in the energy transition.
Saleh's inspiring story can be viewed in its entirety on MNEXT's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ljwxde_STmg. His speech starts at 2:16.55 min.
