Coastal and shore work
As part of our coasts and shore works specialisation, we design wet hydraulic engineering works like breakwaters, port dams, coastal defences, soil and shore protection and dike embodiments. Our plans are produced at the interface of water and land and must be capable of withstanding high waves, high water levels and high current velocities. Our objective is to deliver fit-for-purpose designs, taking advantage of the latest insights, techniques and measures and addressing the specific requirements and wishes of our clients. A salient point is that our work enables us to gain a deeper understanding of the practicability of projects. We have experience of using various design methods and different types of contracts, ranging from traditional contracts to design and construct contracts with systematic contract management.
Many of the structures that we design form part of a larger and more complex project, so we regularly work in multidisciplinary project teams. It means that our specialists have a deep understanding of related specialisations, like economics, ecology, law and planning.
